Competitions
National & International Opportunities
High Points Youth Ballet dancers regularly participate in prestigious competitions both locally and internationally.
Our dancers have represented HPYB at internationally recognised events including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), Global Dance Open, Dance World Cup, Youth Grand Prix Europe, and other leading international festivals and scholarship competitions.
Closer to home, our dancers compete at respected events across the island of Ireland, including the Irish National Ballet Competition, where they have consistently achieved outstanding results and special awards.
These experiences provide dancers with invaluable opportunities to perform alongside talented young artists from around the world while building confidence and developing the skills required for future vocational and professional opportunities.
Many international competitions also serve as important pathways into the professional dance industry. Through participation, dancers may be considered for scholarships to prestigious ballet schools, invitations to international summer intensive programmes, year-round training opportunities, and, for older dancers, professional trainee placements and company contracts. These opportunities allow dancers to connect directly with leading directors, teachers, and industry professionals while gaining exposure to some of the world's most respected training institutions and companies.
Recent Successes
High Points Youth Ballet dancers continue to achieve outstanding results at both national and international competitions.
One of our most notable recent achievements was Madison Crawford reaching the Top 12 Finals at Youth Grand Prix Barcelona, an exceptional accomplishment on the international stage and a testament to her dedication, artistry, and hard work.
At the 2026 Irish National Ballet Competition, HPYB dancers achieved remarkable success across all age categories, securing multiple first-place awards in class performance, repertoire, non-repertoire, and duet categories. Several dancers were also recognised with special awards for artistic potential, excellence in performance, and future promise.
These achievements reflect not only the talent of our dancers but also the strength of the training, coaching, and support they receive throughout their journey at High Points Youth Ballet.
In recent years, HPYB dancers have also earned scholarships, invitations, and training opportunities with internationally respected ballet schools, vocational programmes, and summer intensives across Europe and beyond.

More Than Competition Results
While we are incredibly proud of the achievements of our dancers, competitions at High Points Youth Ballet are about more than medals and awards.
They provide opportunities to build resilience, gain valuable performance experience, develop professionalism, and grow as artists. The skills developed through competition preparation often play an important role in helping dancers succeed in vocational school auditions, summer intensive programmes, and future professional opportunities.
At High Points Youth Ballet, we are committed to providing talented young dancers with opportunities that challenge, inspire, and prepare them for the next stage of their journey in dance.
