Our Training Programme

At High Points Youth Ballet, we are committed to providing ambitious young dancers with exceptional supplementary training that supports their artistic and technical development while preparing them for vocational training and professional careers in dance.

Our structured four-level programme is designed to challenge and inspire dancers at every stage of their journey. Through professional ballet and contemporary training, performance opportunities, private coaching, competition preparation, and audition guidance, dancers receive the support needed to reach their full potential in a positive and ambitious environment.

Trainee Programme

Our Trainee level is designed for young dancers who demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment, and a strong foundation in ballet.

Training: 2 times per week

Classes include:

• Ballet Technique
• Stretching & Flexibility Development
• Repertoire

This level focuses on developing correct technical foundations, musicality, artistry, discipline, and confidence while introducing dancers to the expectations of pre-professional training.

Junior Programme

The Junior level provides a more comprehensive training experience for dancers ready to progress their technical and artistic development.

Training: 2 times per week

Classes include:

• Ballet Technique
• Preparation for Pointe Work
• Stretching & Flexibility Development
• Strength & Conditioning
• Repertoire
• Contemporary Dance

This programme helps dancers build the strength, coordination, and confidence required for more advanced training while continuing to develop strong technical foundations.

Intermediate Programme

The Intermediate level is designed for dancers who have demonstrated strong technical ability, dedication, and commitment to their training.

Training: 3 times per week

Classes include:

• Ballet Technique
• Pointe Preparation and Development
• Stretching & Flexibility Development
• Strength & Conditioning
• Repertoire
• Contemporary Dance

Dancers are encouraged to further develop their artistry, technical precision, performance quality, and versatility while preparing for more demanding training and performance opportunities.

Senior Programme

The Senior level supports advanced dancers preparing for vocational school auditions, professional training opportunities, and future careers within the dance industry.

Training: 4 times per week

Classes include:

• Advanced Ballet Technique
• Pointe Development
• Stretching & Flexibility Development
• Strength & Conditioning
• Repertoire
• Contemporary Dance
• Audition Preparation

This level focuses on refining technique, artistry, professionalism, and performance skills while preparing dancers for vocational training, professional auditions, and the transition into the professional dance world.

Private Coaching

In addition to our weekly training programme, High Points Youth Ballet offers private coaching sessions for dancers seeking focused individual development.

Private coaching can support:

• Technical improvement and correction
• Pointe work development
• Flexibility and strength goals
• Audition preparation
• Repertoire coaching
• Performance quality and confidence building

These personalised sessions allow dancers to work closely with our faculty on their individual goals and training needs, helping them accelerate their progress and reach their full potential.

Competition Coaching with Artistic Director Adéla Lišková

For dancers pursuing competitive opportunities, High Points Youth Ballet offers specialist competition coaching with Artistic Director Adéla Lišková.

These private sessions focus on:

• Competition variation and solo preparation
• Artistic interpretation and performance quality
• Technical refinement
• Competition strategy and preparation
• Stage presence and confidence

Drawing on her extensive professional experience, Adéla provides personalised coaching designed to help dancers perform at their highest level and achieve their individual goals.

Competition Team

Dancers from all programme levels may be considered for participation in the High Points Youth Ballet Competition Team.

Places within the Competition Team are not guaranteed and must be earned through dedication, commitment, technical ability, artistic potential, and a strong work ethic. Dancers are required to audition for selection and demonstrate the standards expected of competition representatives of High Points Youth Ballet.

Selected dancers receive additional coaching and preparation for national and international competitions, providing valuable performance experience and opportunities for artistic growth.
