HPYB values collaboration with local and internationally-based artists and organisations. Past collaborations have included:

• Performing selections from Paquita Grand Pas Classique and a finale in collaboration with the Northern Irish Opera, featuring Soprano Mary McCabe (pictured with the dancers), and the Big Belfast Choir at the Belfast Exposed 40th Anniversary Gala in June 2024

• Joining forces with Sara-Maria Barton of S-MB Company to provide performance opportunities for dancers from Scotland. The collaboration began with five of the S-MB Company dancers performing in our production of The Nutcracker in December 2023. The collaboration continued with 13 dancers from Scotland performing in the inaugural Belfast International Ballet Festival in 2024.

• Collaborating with Six Dance Collective in Summer 2023 to tell the story of the Peace People in a new ballet ‘White Doves’, with choreography by Ruaidhrí Maguire and music by Amelia Clarkson. Jake Allison and Anna Carapellotti were the Rehearsals Directors and 18 of HPYB’s youth dancers performed in the production.

• Offering masterclasses in collaboration with English Youth Ballet in 2017. This included a pas de deux masterclass, in which founding Artistic Director Jake Allison participated.
