All students who successfully audition for High Points Youth Ballet are invited to participate in our two annual productions.

Our production of The Nutcracker has become an annual Christmas tradition for HPYB families and fans. It is performed each winter in a professional theatre and serves as a great introduction to classical repertoire.

In 2026 HPYB will perform The Nutcracker at Theatre at the Mill, Newtownabbey on 23 and 24 January 2026. We will perform two evening performances and one matinee o Saturday. Our Spring Gala usually takes place in early June and features iconic selections from the classical repertoire. Past productions have included: 

• Act II Giselle

• The Dream Scene from Don Quixote

• Paquita Grand Pas Classique 

• The Sleeping Beauty Prologue

• Acts II-IV from Swan Lake

• The Kingdom of the Shades from La Bayadere

• The Fairy Doll

We also host the Belfast International Ballet Festival in the summer months, which is open to dancers from Northern Ireland and abroad. The Festival aspires to be an annual event that celebrates the ballet community in Northern Ireland. The inaugural Festival in 2024 welcomed more than 100 youth, professional, and amateur adult dancers for a week of masterclasses, gala performances, and educational workshops.
