Denise Rogan began her ballet journey with High Points Youth Ballet CIC's founder, Rana O’Brien, in 1999 at just seven years old. From the outset, her exceptional talent, unwavering commitment, and remarkable determination set her apart as one of the most accomplished students in the school’s history. Denise's deep love for ballet has remained steadfast throughout her journey.

Her ability to balance rigorous academic studies with her passion for dance has always been extraordinary. While completing her GCSEs and A-Levels, Denise pursued advanced ballet examinations, achieving impressive results. Her dedication culminated in a perfect score of 100 in her Grade 7 exam, showcasing her technical precision and artistry.

In 2010, Denise began assisting at Rana’s School of Ballet while studying for a B.Ed. in Primary School Teaching with Religious Studies at St. Mary’s University. After graduating in 2014, she seamlessly transitioned into teaching various ballet levels, from Pre-Primary to Grade 4. Her students thrive under her care, consistently achieving outstanding results in their RAD examinations—a testament to her expertise and nurturing approach.

As a teacher, Denise combines technical knowledge with a unique ability to connect with students of all abilities. She has a particular talent for working with children with ADHD and Dyslexia, designing tailored strategies to help them succeed. Her patience, creativity, and empathy make her an invaluable asset to High Points Youth Ballet CIC and an inspiring role model for young dancers.

Now a fully qualified Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teacher, Denise continues to play a pivotal role in the company’s mission to elevate ballet training in Northern Ireland and ensure that talented students have access to opportunities regardless of financial background. As a director and founding member of High Points Youth Ballet CIC, she brings a wealth of experience, a passion for education, and a commitment to artistic excellence, helping nurture the next generation of dancers and contributing to Northern Ireland’s vibrant cultural landscape.
